Dice and Limbo Guide: How to Play, Odds and 99% RTP Explained

How crypto dice and limbo work, how to calculate win chance and payout, why both have about 99% RTP, and smart ways to play.

By Chris Wyatt · Updated October 2026

Quick answer: In crypto dice you pick a target number and bet the roll will land over or under it; the closer your win chance is to 100%, the smaller the payout. Limbo is similar: you pick a target multiplier and win if the random result is equal or higher. In both games, payout is roughly 99 divided by your win chance, giving about 99% RTP.

In this guide:

How Crypto Dice Works

A dice roll produces a random number between 0.00 and 99.99. You set a target and choose Roll Over or Roll Under. Your win chance and payout adjust automatically.

Win chancePayout multiplier (1% edge)Profit on a $10 bet
90%1.10x$1.00
75%1.32x$3.20
49.5%2.00x$10.00
25%3.96x$29.60
10%9.90x$89.00
1%99.00x$980.00

The formula is simple: payout = 99 ÷ win chance (%). The missing 1% is the house edge.

How Limbo Works

In limbo you choose a target multiplier, for example 2.00x. The game generates a random multiplier; if it is equal to or higher than your target, you win your bet times the target. The win chance is about 99 ÷ target percent, so 2x wins about 49.5% of the time and 10x about 9.9%. Limbo works like a crash game where you must pick your cash-out before the round. Why Dice and Limbo Have 99% RTP

Every setting in dice and limbo has the same expected return: about 99 cents back per dollar wagered over time. That is one of the lowest house edges in any casino, far better than most slots (typically 94% to 97%). Compare games in our RTP and house edge guide.

Dice and Limbo Strategies

  • High win chance: 80% to 95% win chance gives frequent small wins and slow bankroll swings.
  • Coin flip: 49.5% at 2x for simple even-money betting.
  • Martingale: doubling after losses at 2x. It works until a losing streak exhausts your bankroll or hits the max bet.
  • Low chance hunting: tiny bets at 1% to 5% win chance for big multipliers, with long losing runs.

None of these changes the house edge, only how bumpy the ride is. Try them in our bet simulator before using real crypto.

Tips for Playing Dice and Limbo

  • Use auto-bet carefully and always set stop-loss and take-profit limits.
  • Bet in stablecoins such as USDT so your bankroll does not move with crypto prices.
  • Verify rolls using the provably fair system.
  • Check bonus terms: many casinos exclude dice and limbo from wagering.

Where to Play Dice and Limbo

Dice and limbo are available at most crypto casinos, including Stake, BC.Game, Duelbits, Shuffle and BetFury.
